Abstract: This article addresses the issues of judicial control in the course of pre-trial proceedings in the light of ongoing reforms. In addition, the procedural position of the investigative judge, exercising judicial control in pre-trial proceedings, is disclosed. This type of control will provide an effective mechanism to protect the rights and individual freedoms in criminal proceedings.
