Abstract: The study gives an idea of the trends and prospects of some specific sectors of the economy, both in the Russian Federation, and abroad. The article examines tourism, management, e-commerce and separately the Olympic Games-2014 and their impact on the regional economy are discussed. On the examples of Krasnodar region, the Astrakhan region, the North-Eastern part of Montenegro and the Bela Crkva municipality (Serbia) are discussed the development of tourist-recreational potential. The relatively recent annexation of Crimea and arose in view of this circumstance some problems– all this has affected the economic indicators of the region. The article describes and analyzes the dynamics of tourist arrivals in Republic of Crimea. The city-resort Sochi is highlighted. The attention is paid to the impact of the Olympic Games – 2014 on the economy of destination, and the future development of its tourism potential. The forming of a favorable image is impossible without IT, and therefore it is being introduced widely the available methods of electronic commerce. The article studies the use of information technologies in the economy. It takes into account the results of scientific activity of foreign experts in these areas.
