Pages: 282-286 Published: 30.12.2018 Abstract: With the amount of data online growing each day, automatic text summarization methods are needed to help people navigate through all the information that is available to them. This article provides an overview of automatic text summarization methods. It starts with a brief description of early methods and methods that are used today. Promising paths for future research are presented. Key words: Automatic text summarization, natural language processing, machine learning, neural networks.
