Abstract: There are certain similar provisions between the law on defense attorneys and mediators in the Kyrgyz Republic (the logic and format of the institutional construction of professional communities of mediators are borrowed). The experience of building a lawyer community is to some extent applicable, and therefore the use of the experience and approaches of other communities (lawyers in the first place) should be taken into account to develop legislative measures for the issues of institutional organization, status and education of mediators.
