Abstract: This article presents the results of finite element modeling of the process of pressing a shaft into a preheated bushing to form a fit with a guaranteed interference (0.1 mm). The intensity of the stress state of the bushing material was estimated based on the calculated values of von Mises stress, normal stress, and contact forces arising on the surfaces of the shaft and bushing.

Key words: bushing model, shaft model, pressing, stress, contact force.
