Abstract: Problems of features of development of innovative activity of the small and medium enterprises in modern conditions are considered in the article. The essence of innovative activity and the main objectives of ensuring transition to innovative activity of subjects of business and business, first of all small and medium enterprises is analyzed with this purpose. Features of innovative activity and importance of ensuring innovative activity of small and medium enterprises are considered too. The role and the place of small and medium enterprises in balance and growth of national economy, employment and decrease in poverty in the country are opened. Need of acceleration of improvement of innovative activity of small and medium enterprises for modern conditions are improved. A number of recommendations and offers on features of development of innovative activity of the enterprises of small and medium business in the context of growth of global economic threats are given in the end of the article.
