Abstract: Environmental safety, as an integral part of the national security of the country, is a condition for the life and work of the people of Kyrgyzstan, a condition for sustainable development and serves as a basis for preserving natural systems and maintaining the appropriate quality of the environment. In the presented article, the urgency of the problems of ensuring the safety of tailing dumps in the Kyrgyz Republic is substantiated, a set of problems related to the state of tailing dumps and mining dumps is analyzed, and a number of legal, organizational and other measures are justified to ensure the safety of tailing dumps. The question of the safety of tailing dumps is a question of the future of the country. The purpose of this article is to draw public attention, state bodies, the scientific and international community to the problems of ensuring the safety of tailing dumps in the Kyrgyz Republic.
