Abstract: It is noteworthy that in the heroic dastan (epic) "Alpamysh" the genuine struggle and aspirations of the Uzbek people, hopes and dreams of the future are sung on an ideological and artistic basis. In the dastan, in the spirit of heroism, ideas are described such as the struggle against any manifestations of evil, the glorification of good, the desire for the triumph of truth and justice, love for the family and the homeland, courage and courage along the way. Such noble ideas in combination with heroic and patriotic motives are realized in the character of the hero. The epic story “Alpamysh” is popular in different versions and versions in the epic works of Turkic and non-Turkic peoples. The folklorist T. Mirzaev, who specifically studied the Uzbek versions of the epic plot, confirmed that although the idea of fighting for the family and lover prevails in the dastan, the hero’s main goal is to fight along this path. In all Turkic versions of the dastan, such an ideological goal is dominant. A comparative study of the similarities and unity between epic plots is important in the evolution of the historical development of motives and images, as well as the transmission by generations of epic performers of the genetic aspects associated with the appearance of these peoples, while maintaining the text given mutual influence during the creative process. Based on this, in the article we analyzed the similarity, originality, ideological and artistic features of the Alpomish dastan according to the famous poet Fozil Yuldash oglu with the Azerbaijani folk epos "The Book of Father Kurkut". Separately, we focused on the captive motive, which plays an important role in the ideological basis of the dastan.

Key words: epic, plot and composition, personage, interdependence, ideological-literary features, motivation, historical-genealogical features.
