Abstract: The results of computer calculation of the wear intensity of contact surfaces of steel bodies under various combinations of speed and load are presented in the article. Calculated values of rate and depth of wear of contact surfaces, contact forces and friction forces were obtained on the basis of a multifactorial experiment, according to the design of which a number of tests were carried out. It has been determined that the speed of movement of a body on a stationary surface significantly affects the intensity of wear rate, and the force acting on the moving body significantly affects the wear depth of the contact surface.
Key words: friction force, wear rate, wear depth, contact surfaces, force.
