Abstract: This article examines the use of barley husks (Hordeum vulgare) as feed, their chemical composition, and their importance in livestock farming and the food industry. The study analyzes the key nutritional components of barley husks: dietary fiber, cellulose, lignin, proteins, fats, and micronutrients. The results demonstrate that barley husks can be used as an inexpensive, nutritious, and sustainable source of supplementary animal feed. Animals fed barley husks also showed positive changes in digestive activity and growth rates. The results of the experiment confirmed that barley husk feed is an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and nutrient-rich source. The article also presents the comparative advantages of barley husks over other feeds and recommendations for their inclusion in the diet.

Key words: Barley husk, chemical composition, minerals, fiber, lignin, dietary fiber, cellulose, protein, fat, digestibility, energy value.
