Abstract: In modern society, the study of the consciousness of criminals is an important aspect of forensic psychology. Criminals' minds are a complex mix of motivations, beliefs, and psychological factors that shape their behavior. One of the key problems associated with understanding the consciousness of criminals is the need to distinguish between the psychological characteristics of different types of criminals and their motivation to commit crimes. Research in this area often focuses on the places where the criminal's personality is formed, such as family, education, and social environment. Without solving the problem of understanding the consciousness of criminals, society may face an increase in crime, insufficient rehabilitation of criminals and insufficient protection of society from potential dangers.
