Abstract: The article compares the stress and strain state of some metallic and non-metallic materials during flat grinding. Given the same grinding conditions for all tests, it was determined that the concrete sample experienced the least stress, while the tungsten sample experienced the most stress. At the same time, compression and tension deformations are minimal after grinding tungsten and copper alloy, and maximal after grinding window plate glass.
