Abstract: Intra-family relationships were investigated in a sample of 35 adolescents aged 14-17 years with a diagnosis of IBS and their mothers. The survey, questionnaires, and methods of psychodiagnostics were used. A high level of family anxiety was noted against the background of unfavorable hereditary, biological, and social factors. Since the period of pregnancy, adolescent mothers had increased anxiety, which later manifested itself in disharmonious parenting. When assessing the family structure, the disharmony of family relationships was revealed. The majority of families were characterized by the manifestation of a broken emotional bond between all members. The interdependence in the adolescent-parent (mom) dyad is disrupted, family boundaries are poorly traced, and family adaptation is disrupted with high dissatisfaction with family relationships.
