Abstract: Phraseological units are stable combinations of words that have semantic integrity and expressive coloring. In the structure of the language, they perform not only a nominative, but also a stylistic function, enriching speech emotionally and culturally. One of the little-studied aspects of phraseology remains the internal synonymous and antonymous organization of phraseological units. Despite the stability of form, semantic variability allows us to combine phraseological units into synonymous series or contrast them into antonymous pairs. This article is aimed at identifying these relationships, their classification and analysis based on linguistic and contextual criteria.
