Abstract: The representatives of genus Thalictrum L., belonging to the Ranunculaceae family, have been used as medicinal plants for centuries due to their various pharmacological effects. Many species of these plants are used in medicine due to their investigated and confirmed therapeutic effects. In general, plants belonging to this genus are widely used in various regions of the world for stomach pain and ulcers, rheumatism, joint pain, nerve problems, fever, diarrhea, tumors, etc. The chemical composition of plants from Thalictrum genus is quite rich and many of their components are of great importance for the medical and pharmaceutical fields. In this regard, interest in this plant is increasing day by day. In Azerbaijan, 10 species of this genus are found and some species are being studied by our colleagues as a prospective plants.
