Abstract: The article reveals the situation of indigenous peoples of the North of the Russian Federation, draws attention to unresolved issues of ensuring the collective rights of indigenous peoples in the legislative order of determining their nationality, health care, reindeer herding, regulation of industrial development of territories, education, language of indigenous peoples. The activity of the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation is noted. In conclusion, it is concluded that, despite the existing shortcomings, as a result of self-sufficient public and state, ethno-national policy in the Russian Arctic, a working system is gradually being formed that ensures the observance of the rights of indigenous peoples, their traditional way of life and economic activity.
