Abstract: the article presents the basic concepts of quality assurance with specific application functions: quality of the management system, product requirements, product design, design documentation, procurement, production and maintenance, measurements and monitoring, objectives and tasks. Systems and a systematic approach to quality assurance are given and substantiated. The purpose of international standards ISO 9000 series is studied. Their trends in improvement and development are shown. The role of control in quality assurance is outlined. regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts on filling their markets with popular and competitive products. The results of such studies confirmed the validity of the understanding that the head of an enterprise vested with authority should not consider these criteria as unacceptable, but a measure of responsibility to his team for the results of the activities of this very team.
