Abstract: This article examines the internal state system of ensuring state and legal security in the context of countering religious extremism. Special attention is paid to the regulatory framework, institutional mechanisms and interagency cooperation in the field of prevention and combating religious extremism. The key problems faced by government agencies in the implementation of security measures are analyzed, and effective strategies for their solution are proposed. The author emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach, including legal, social and informational measures to minimize the threats associated with the spread of extremist ideologies. For this purpose, as a potentially acceptable strategy for the rehabilitation of extremism, it is assumed that a set of planned work will be carried out to influence former extremists in correctional institutions.
