Abstract: This article presents the results of genotyping according to the HLA system of athletes specializing in wrestling and genotyping) using the method of Yu.M. Zaretskaya [5]. The use of the genetic method made it possible to identify hereditarily gifted athletes - wrestlers - of the extra class with specific genetic markers, in particular, with HLA B-8, at x2 -5.32, HLA B-13 at x2-5.23 and HLA B-35 at x2- 6.22 for highly qualified athletes. Considering that physique indicators are crucial in the fight for record results, we studied athletes specializing in team sports for whom body length is the leading morphological feature. By comparing athletes with high and short body length, it was possible to establish a higher frequency of occurrence of antigens HIA - A3, HIA - A2 in athletes with height indicators of 160 - 170 cm. In group No. 2 of athletes (81 players - volleyball players, basketball players) with a body length of 180 -190 cm, specific genetic markers were identified associated with a specific haplotype HLA-A9 with a frequency of occurrence of x2-0.228, HLA-A28 with a frequency of occurrence of x2- 0.330; from the HLA B-13 locus complex at x2-0.138, HLA B-35 at x2-0.138. The identified trend characterizes the presence of relationships between genetically determined growth and length characteristics and genetic status.
