Abstract: In the article the authors present the results of the authors' research on the formation of competitiveness of enterprises and competitiveness of products based on the assortment policy and the creation of innovative technological processes in the production of import-substituting products for consumers in the regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, providing them with high technical and economic indicators. The content offered to consumers by the authors will provoke professional interest and demand among all specialists in the light industry engaged in the production of competitive and in-demand products.
