Abstract: This article evaluates the performance of virtual machines using VMware Workstation and Oracle VirtualBox hypervisors under the Linux operating system. The study focuses on the performance of RAM and disk operations within virtual machines, comparing their behavior across the two hypervisors. Test scenarios include running resource-intensive applications and system operations. The results of the experiments, along with an in-depth analysis of the performance differences between the hypervisors, are presented.
