Abstract: This article presents a study of the speed of performing calculations with integers and real numbers in the Windows 11 Home operating system and in the Docker container. The testing was carried out using a developed program that implements arithmetic operations such as addition and multiplication. The features of the representation of integers and real numbers in the Python programming language are described and demonstrated on the test results, as well as the impact of the number of threads on the host and the impact of containerization on performance.
