Abstract: The article analyzes the pilot green hydrogen project in Chirchik, the current strategic framework for the development of hydrogen energy in Uzbekistan up to 2030, as well as the regional context shaped by the Hyrasia One project in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan’s export and infrastructure role. The study is based on primary and official sources, including documents of the EBRD, IEA, UNDP, Hydrogen Europe, regulatory acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, corporate project pages, and official statements of relevant institutions. The article consistently distinguishes between documented indicators and analytical estimates based on transparent calculation logic. It is shown that the Chirchik project is the first industrial case in Central Asia integrating renewable energy, electrolysis, and ammonia production, while Uzbekistan’s broader strategic objective is to replace grey hydrogen in the chemical industry and use the large-scale expansion of renewable energy as the energy basis for the future hydrogen market.
