Abstract: The article discusses modern approaches to assessing the academic achievements of students with special educational needs (SEN). Adapted forms of knowledge assessment, principles of inclusive evaluation, and criteria of objectivity when working with different categories of students are analyzed. The necessity of individualizing assessment and evaluation activities is emphasized. In the course of the study, it was proven that assessment in an inclusive environment is not merely a process of recording the level of knowledge, but a comprehensive process aimed at supporting learning, identifying individual achievements, and adjusting the educational pathway. The article examines both traditional and innovative methods of assessing the knowledge of students with special educational needs.

Key words: knowledge assessment, adapted forms, inclusive education, criterion-based assessment, objectivity, transparency, individualization.
